Your Loved One is in Good Hands
You never know when your pet might need emergency surgery. The experts at Good Shepherd Vet Hospital specialize in all forms of soft tissue surgery. In fact, Doctor Ibrahim worked in emergency surgery for 5 ½ years.
We are always prepared for critical emergencies and are not only available to you on-call but also have full in-house diagnostic capabilities. This means we can diagnose the problem immediately and get to work solving it. That extra time saved can make all the difference to the health of your pet.
Beyond emergency treatments, we also perform oncologic surgery (cancer tumor removal), kidney surgery, removal of foreign bodies from digestive tracts, Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus Syndrome (GDV) (aka bloat) and chronic constipation.
Our orthopedic surgery services are available if your pet has a broken bone or injured joint. We typically evaluate, splint, x-ray and provide medication on-site. We regularly collaborate with Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center (PVSEC) on very sophisticated orthopedic procedures to ensure that you have the best combination of medical and surgical treatment for your injured pet.
